The "CamScale" application leverages your iPhone's camera to measure the width, depth, and height of furniture. Additionally, it allows you to assess the space intended for new furniture by visualizing it in the designated area.

Replacing a traditional tape measure, "CamScale" can be particularly useful during moving or room remodeling. It also serves as an effective tool while shopping for new furniture in stores.

It is important to note that the number of photos eligible for measurement is limited. Users are encouraged to upgrade to the premium version to remove this limitation, which can be done through the settings screen.

The measurement accuracy may vary, with potential errors of a few percent due to sensor inaccuracies or the photography technique employed.

Instructions for Use
<ol>
<li>Preparing CamScale 
Before using "CamScale," certain settings must be configured for optimal measurement accuracy. These initial steps will only need to be completed once.
<ul>
<li>Begin by selecting the "Gear" icon located at the upper left of the "Photo List" screen.</li>
<li>Camera Height 
In the "Settings" screen, select "Camera Height." This app utilizes an accurate camera height to calculate precise dimensions. Input your eye level as your camera height, which can be determined by subtracting approximately 90 to 120 mm from your total height.</li>
<li>Accelerometer Calibration 
To calibrate the accelerometer, place your iPhone vertically on a flat surface and press the "Reset" button to set both roll and pitch angles to 0 degrees. If accuracy remains insufficient after this initial calibration, follow up with additional calibration:
<ul>
<li>Place your iPhone horizontally on a flat surface and then press the "Pitch Reset" button to set the pitch angle to -90 degrees.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Focal Length 
If the measurements appear inaccurate, adjust the focal length in advanced settings.</li>
</ul>
</li>

<li>Measuring Dimensions 
To measure dimensions:
<ul>
<li>Select the "Camera" icon in the upper right corner of the "Photo List" screen and take a picture of the furniture or space you wish to measure. Ensure that:
<ul>
<li>The lens of your iPhone is at eye level.</li>
<li>Your iPhone remains level; any tilt will be indicated by an icon at the center of the camera screen, turning green when properly aligned.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>To measure dimensions with "Cubic Scaler," tap the "Add Cubic Scaler" button (indicated by a scale and + icon) and position it within the photo:
<ul>
<li>Align the right-bottom point of the "Cubic Scaler" with the corresponding point on the furniture.</li>
<li>Then align the left-bottom point similarly.</li>
<li>Finally, adjust points corresponding to height and depth as necessary by interacting with areas in the image.</li>
</ul>
The dimension sizes will then display on the "Cubic Scaler." Ensure that its bottom edge aligns with the floor.</li>
<li>Pressing the "Furniture Register Button" located next to the trash icon will register the front face image of your configured "Cubic Scaler" into your "Furniture List."</li>
</ul>
</li>

<li>Confirming Arranged Furniture Images and Gaps 
Similar to measuring dimensions, position a new "Cubic Scaler" in your desired placement area. Pressing the "Furniture Paste Button" will display your furniture list; select an item from here to visualize it within your space using the front face of your "Cubic Scaler." You can assess both how furniture fits into your space and any potential gaps surrounding it, with size information available directly on-screen.</li>
</ol>
